BMI Bluegrass Leaders Sweep 2012 IBMA Awards

BMI’s bluegrass family swept the 23rd annual International Bluegrass Music Awards, winning a commanding 89% of the trophies handed out on September 27 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. From The Gibson Brothers, who clinched the Entertainer of the Year Crown, and Bluegrass Hall of Fame inductees Doyle Lawson and Ralph Rinzler, to Blue Highway, Russell Moore, Dale Ann Bradley, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, Jon Weisberger, and so many more, the cross-generational, virtuosic power of BMI’s bluegrass roster took center stage and top honors.

Before the ceremony, BMI sponsored the IBMA Awards Nominees Press Reception at the Nashville Convention Center. An annual tradition, the mixer gave bluegrass’ finest the opportunity to catch with one another and the media before their biggest night of the year.
