Terry Sylvester of the Hollies made an appearance at the 2024 Media Financial Management Association Annual Conference held recently in Jacksonville, Florida where the Rock & Roll of Fame inductee shared stories and songs during an intimate fireside chat with BMI’s Dan Spears. Sylvester, who was inducted into the Rock Hall with his fellow Hollies members in 2010, performed a handful of the band’s biggest hits including “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother,” “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress” and “The Air That I Breath.” The Hollies were formed in the UK in 1962 and proceeded to record 22 songs that appeared on the Billboard Hot 100. Sylvester, a native of Liverpool, joined the band in 1968 after Graham Nash’s departure. The MFM Conference is attended by the top finance executives from the radio, television, and cable industries.
