BMI and Sony Music Latin recently presented an exclusive listening event for Spiff TV’s highly anticipated album entitled The Union, held at the BMI office in Los Angeles. Spiff opened the listening session by elaborating on how he labored for over three years to deliver this particular collection of music. As a compilation of his work, The Union showcases Spiff’s groundbreaking two-tier production style, which infuses elements of hip-hop and Latin music and has proven to lend itself to generating hits.
Known to the industry not just as an influencer or “go-to guy,” but as a creator, Spiff is greatly respected for integrating the hip-hop and reggaetón markets, combining their flavors, their beats, and each artist’s personal style to create a whole new sound. Most recently, Spiff has been promoting his single “Just as I Am,” featuring Prince Royce and Chris Brown. The track has already received praise for its celebration of different cultures, and its resonance as an ode to individualism in relationships. In addition, the album’s initial single, “Mi Combo” featuring Yandel and Future, kicked off the Anglo and Latin infused cross-over trend in early 2016. Spiff is excited to be releasing the album on SONY Latin, although a specific release date has not yet been set.
