Once again, BMI was charged with curating the musical performances throughout The Radio Show, which is the largest radio industry conference in the United States. The 2017 event, presented by the Radio Advertising Bureau and the National Association of Broadcasters, was held recently (Sept 5-7) at the JW Marriott in Austin and featured performances from no less than 10 BMI songwriters. Dubbed the “BMI Artist Spotlight Series powered by Xperi,” BMI songwriters not only performed at several of the conference’s keynote sessions, they also took over the Innovation Stage in the exhibit hall as multiple up-and-coming Texas-based artists played shows throughout the two-day conference.

Kicking off the event was a sizzling performance from The Peterson Brothers, a blues funk band that features Austin prodigies Glenn and Alex Peterson.
