BMI London Hosts Speed Dating for Songwriters® - Zoom Edition
In keeping with the times, BMI’s “Speed Dating for Songwriters®” has been revamped into a new online format using Zoom’s Breakout Rooms feature. With the aim of continuing to foster creative collaboration among some of the most promising songwriters, producers, and artists, participants through BMI’s London office, which hosted the format, included Izzy Bizu, Twin Lee, Jessy Rose, Magnolian, Lawrence Biancardi and Marie White.
A popular event in BMI’s London, Nashville, LA and New York offices, previous events have enabled attendees to work on EP projects, sessions, and other endeavors while developing professional friendships due to this networking opportunity. Through this event, BMI continues to proudly support the next generation of talent, which includes singer/songwriter Amahla, who attended BMI London’s June 2019 edition of Speed Dating for Songwriters®, and who was recently nominated for the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award. She is currently mentored by renowned BMI songwriter and artist, Nile Rodgers.
