BMI Indie Spotlight: Imogen Valentine

Posted in News on March 10, 2026

London-born, New York-based singer/songwriter Imogen Valentine blends dream pop with intimate lyricism, creating songs that offer cinematic glimpses into a nostalgia-tinged inner world. Growing up in a Hispanic household, she was immersed in its warmth and vibrant musical traditions, allowing these influences to shape her artistry and creative voice. A recipient of the Abe Oleman Scholarship from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Imogen graduated from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute with a BFA in Recorded Music and a minor in Spanish. Her debut EP, Ouch! (2024), marked her arrival as a fresh voice with a sharp lyrical perspective. The lead single from her forthcoming second EP, Golden Girl, has already earned 100,000+ streams, building anticipation for her sophomore EP Little Miss Optimist. Imogen’s music navigates the push and pull between vulnerability, softness, and reinvention. With each release, she continues to cultivate a growing community of listeners, affectionately known as the Valentines, inviting them deeper into her ever-evolving sonic universe.
