BMI Indie Spotlight: CLAY

Posted in News on December 7, 2022

CLAY is a multidisciplinary artist whose creativity cannot be separated from her advocacy work. As a biracial artist from a flower-child city and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, CLAY is unwavering with her politically charged lyrics and innovative ways of sharing her truth. Her first single, “WildThing/3’s a Crowd,” was released in 2016, while her first EP, hues, dropped in 2019. CLAY continued releasing new music in the time since, all of which led to the release of her sophomore project, the six-song EP, Breathing into Bloom. With over 20M+ streams, praise from publications like W Mag, Earmilk, DIVA, and Hunger Magazine, and co-signs from Alessia Cara (with whom she collaborates on “WTSGD”), HAIM, Dckwrth, and more, CLAY is preparing two additional projects and a headlining tour for 2023.
