BMI Indie Spotlight: Clarion
Formed in East LA in late 2023, Clarion – Anthony, Saya and Joseph – emerged from the local DIY scene and recorded their early songs in a quick three-day sprint in 2024. Through layered amps, stereo panning and an open-minded approach to experimentation, they crafted an immersive, youthful blend of shoegaze, post-punk and Japanese rock that became their debut EP, Clarion, with hit single “Hello Juliet” going viral on TikTok and amassing over 55 million streams. The group catapulted from the DIY scene to the main stage, signing with Broke Records in 2025, touring with artists like Violent Vira, Rehash, and Mind’s Eye and adding touring member Javier Flores on drums. Intent on fully earning their touring stripes in 2026, they are supporting shoegaze legends Panchiko and embarking on their own national headline tour with plans to hit the UK, Ireland, and Europe in the fall. Building on the momentum of their debut EP, they’ve released several singles ahead of their new EP, Blue Fairy, out now.
