Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Famer and legendary BMI songwriter John Oates helped kick off the 2025 CREATE conference in Nashville with an entertaining set that mixed his solo music with some of Hall & Oates’ biggest hits, like “Maneater” and “She’s Gone.” Hall & Oates were named as BMI Icons back in 2008 and last year Oates was honored by BMI with its prestigious Troubadour Award. CREATE is a yearly conference produced by Nation’s Restaurant News that is designed for emerging restauranteurs who want to learn about the latest innovations in the food service industry. The event attracts restaurant owners and executives from across the country.
