BMI Honors Kenny Chesney at Country Radio Seminar and Showcases Up & Coming Songwriters

BMI was out in force at the 2023 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, shining a spotlight on legendary BMI songwriter Kenny Chesney while hosting a dinner for customers and association partners that featured performances from 7 rising BMI songwriters.

As in years past, BMI sponsored the CRS Artist Interview that this year featured a sit down with BMI songwriter Kenny Chesney who was interviewed by radio personality Lon Helton. Chesney received the BMI President’s Award in 2016.

The evening prior, BMI hosted its annual CRS Songwriters Dinner which featured performances by up-and-coming songwriters Ashley Cooke, Tanner Adell, Lauren Watkins, Trey Simon, Chayce Beckham, Nicole Alexis and Cory Asbury and was attended by executives from a number of radio groups and trade associations including Cox Media Group, iHeart Media, Hubbard Radio, Alpha Media, the Cromwell Group, Big River Broadcasting, Morgan County Media, Withers Broadcasting, Hospitality Tennessee and the National Association of Broadcasters.
