Amanfu, a Ghana-born, Nashville-based GRAMMY, Soul Train and BET Award nominated songwriter and recording artist wowed the audience by performing “Hard Place,” which she and Sam co-wrote for the artist H.E.R., “With Me Now,” and “So Glad You’re Home.” Ruby’s husband, Sam Ashworth, who is a 3x-GRAMMY nominee, as well as a Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominee, performed “SpeakNow,” which Leslie Odom Jr. sang for the film, One Night in Miami, and “Without You,” which was cut in 2024 by Andy Grammar.

Amanfu has released 11 critically acclaimed solo studio albums, and Ashworth is most known for his key role in the H.E.R. album, I Used to Know Her, in which he co-wrote nine songs that garnered him an Album of the Year nomination and Song of the Year nomination for “Hard Place” at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards.

This year’s conference was attended by the CEOs of various state hotel & lodging associations, as well as senior leadership of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, and major hotel chains.
