BMI Educates and Entertains at Rhode Island Hospitality Association Board Meeting
BMI was invited recently to spend the afternoon in Providence, RI with the board of the Rhode Island Hospitality educating restaurant and hotel executives from the “Ocean State” on the latest developments in the music licensing space while also featuring a performance by GRAMMY-nominated BMI singer/songwriter Eric Paslay. Paslay shared the stories behind his songs and performed some his biggest hits including “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” a No.1 smash he wrote for Jake Owen, and “Wild Hearts,” a top five country hit for Keith Urban. Paslay has also written a number of big hits that he recorded as a solo country artist with EMI Records-Nashville. RIHA, a longtime partner of BMI’s, represents over 800 foodservice, hotels, vendors, and hospitality members in the state of Rhode Island and has been the voice of the hospitality and foodservice industries in the state since 1963.
