BMI songwriter and artist Luke Bryan and the songwriters of his latest chart-toppers gathered in Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame to celebrate an astounding seven #1 songs: “Play It Again,” written by BMI songwriter Dallas Davidson with Ashley Gorley; “Roller Coaster,” by BMI songwriter Cole Swindell with Michal Carter; “I See You,” by Bryan with Ashley Gorley and Luke Laird; “Kick The Dust Up,” by Dallas Davidson with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley; “Strip It Down,” by Bryan, BMI songwriter Ross Copperman and Jon Nite; “Home Alone Tonight,” by BMI songwriters Tommy Cecil, Jaida Dreyer and Jody Stevens and Cole Taylor; and “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” written by Bryan, Dallas Davidson, BMI songwriter Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip. The epic party featured a performance of each song, along with the honored songwriters’ stories of its evolution. “Home Alone Tonight” was the first #1 for both Tommy Cecil and Jaida Dreyer, who received custom BMI Epiphone guitars to commemorate the occasion.
