BMI Celebrates 50 Years of Hip-Hop with Rooftop on the Row Series

BMI hosted its signature Rooftop on the Row series in Nashville on Tuesday, August 15, presented by George Dickel Bourbon, as industry professionals and fans gathered for three hours of non-stop music by singer/songwriters Reyna Roberts, Willie Jones and RVSHVD. The night commemorated 50 years of hip-hop and the genre’s influence on the country music community was on full display. As DJ Smoke set the tone for this year’s third installment of the popular series, BMI’s Shannon Sanders welcomed the audience of more than 400 people. BMI’s final Rooftop on the Row will be held September 19, with the acts revealed in the coming weeks, and serves as the official kickoff party to Americana Fest.
