BMI Austin Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary with Saxon Songwriter Series

BMI was excited to mark the five-year anniversary of its Austin office by welcoming longtime local songwriters to take part in the latest installment of its monthly Saxon Songwriter Showcase at Saxon Pub. The all-star lineup of affiliates included Walt Wilkins, Owen Temple, Tina Wilkins, Bri Bagwell, Courtney Patton, and Mike McClure.

Each month, BMI Austin hosts six songwriters in two rounds to perform three original songs each at Austin’s premier listen room. To date, the acoustic series has allowed over 200 local affiliates to showcase their talent. The five-year anniversary celebration will continue later this month at BMI’s annual Howdy Texas event at SXSW, nodding to Texas sounds while featuring performances from nine diverse Texas-based artists on March 12 at Still Austin Whiskey Co.
