BMI and CBS Radio joined forces recently (10/19-10/22) to host the 1st annual Detroit Songwriters Festival, a 4 day event in the Motor City designed to shine a spotlight on the craft of songwriting. Featured BMI artists/songwriters included Hunter Hayes, LoCash, Uncle Kracker, Michael Ray, Wendell Mobley, Casey Beathard, Troy Verges and Sarah Buxton performing at BMI-licensed venues across the City, including Hockeytown Café, the Hard Rock and Coyote Joe’s. The festival was sponsored in part by long-time BMI partner HD Radio, and was highlighted by a special guest appearance from Detroit native Kid Rock.
