On Your Mark, Get Set, ‘Demo Dash’!

BMI New York will give aspiring songwriters the chance to have their work listened to and critiqued by music industry professionals at the upcoming "Demo Dash" sessions, to be held at New York's Sin-E Bar (corner of Attorney and Stanton Streets in Manhattan). The two sessions will begin at 7 p.m. sharp on Wednesday, July 12 (pop) and Thursday, July 13 (rock). Both sessions are open to the public; seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pop

  • Jimmy Landry - A&R, Virgin Records/producer
  • Jamie Sampson - Manager, A Fein Martini Management (My Morning Jacket, Good Charlotte)
  • Ali Buttars - A&R consultant

Rock

  • Holly Schomann - A&R, Warner Brothers Records
  • Jon Gottlieb - A&R, Sony ATV Publishing
  • Matthew Gordner - A&R, Icon Music Entertainment Services
  • Vinny Caruso - A&R, Epic Records

BMI's Demo Dash offers up-and-coming songwriters who feel their music is ready to go to the next level an exciting chance to interact directly with music industry executives. Participants will get direct feedback from key industry players at record labels, management and publishing companies.
