BMI Fetes Congressman Conyers

Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI), Ranking Minority Member of the House Judiciary Committee and Dean of the Congressional Black Caucus, was the guest of honor at a recent fundraiser hosted by BMI at the Friar Club in New York City.

Among the more than 50 party-goers celebrating with the 40-year legislative veteran were BMI President & CEO Del Bryant, BMI Government Relations Senior VP Fred Cannon, the Honorable David Dinkins, former mayor of New York City, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) and BMI jazz artist Ron Carter, who sat in on a few tunes with the performing jazz trio.
