BMI Lends Expertise to ‘Mobile Music’ Panel at CES

BMI's Scott Andrews was on hand at the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to lend his expertise on the "Mobile Music: New Platforms + New Technology + More Music + Dynamic Marketplace" panel. Topics discussed included the results of the mobile explosion in general and future trends, the changing relationship between music and the consumer, and the ever-increasing revenue this phenomenon is generating.

Moderated by Billboard's Antony Bruno, Editor of Digital/Mobile, the panel also featured Jay Samit, General Manager, Sony Connect; Mike Brochu, CEO, Loudeye; Thomas Gewecke, SVP, Digital Business Group, Sony BMG; Rio Caraeff, General Manager, Universal Music Mobile - US; and Bill Wittress, Sr. Business Development Manager, Portable Devices Group, Microsoft Corporation.

Held January 5-8 in Las Vegas, the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show boasted more than 150,000 attendees from 110 countries witnessing the introduction of thousands of new products and technologies from more than 2,500 exhibitors.
