BMI composer Jesper Kyd stopped by the BMI LA office recently to show off his 2005 BAFTA Games Award and meet with executives in the Film/TV department.

BMI composer Jesper Kyd (center) is greeted by BMI's Linda Livingston and Doreen Ringer Ross in the LA office.

Presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Kyd's evocative soundtrack to the video game "Hitman: Contracts" took home the trophy for Best Original Music at the ceremony held earlier this year. The award honors the best original music score within an interactive videogame, recognizing excellence in composition, production and integration.

Kyd's other gaming soundtracks include Microsoft's new Xbox 360 title "Gears of War" and the next Hitman release, "Blood Money."
