Yoko Ono speaks at the dedication ceremony for the John Lennon Center for Music & Technology at Five Towns College
BMI was on hand for the dedication ceremony of the technology wing of Five Towns College, which was renamed the John Lennon Center for Music & Technology. Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, took part in the ribbon cutting, held last month at the Huntington, Long Island campus. The ceremony was followed by a special tribute produced by students and faculty that featured musical performances, video clips, and comments and reflections from industry executives including BMI's Charlie Feldman.

BMI represents the catalogue of the late John Lennon and through the BMI Foundation's John Lennon Scholarship program for songwriters and composers, honors the memory of one of the 20th century's preeminent songwriters. His enormous creative legacy includes such songs such as "I Want To Hold Your Hand," "Strawberry Fields," "Imagine," "I Am the Walrus," "All You Need Is Love" and "Come Together," and continues to inspire and uplift new generations of music lovers around the world.

Gathered after the tribute to John Lennon are Matt Wolfe, Music Director, WBAB-FM; Martin Cohen, VP, Finance & Administration, Five Towns College; BMI's Charlie Feldman; and Michael Kovins, CEO, KORG
