AIMP Honors Frances Preston With Indie Award

BMI President Emeritus Frances Preston was honored on November 30 by the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) during the New York Chapter's annual holiday party. Preston received the organization's Indie Award in recognition of her dedication and service to music publishers and copyright holders at a gala reception held at the exclusive Princeton Club in New York City.

Formed in 1977 by a group of Los Angeles music publishers, AIMP now has chapters in both Los Angeles and New York, and is dedicated to serving the independent music publishing community by providing continuing professional education; analysis of trends and developments in creative, business, and legal areas; music copyright exploitation opportunities; and opportunities to cultivate professional relationships in a collegial environment.
