Toby Keith Unveils Platinum-Plus Collection

Toby Keith was showered with awards for several career milestones during a celebration hosted by DreamWorks Nashville and BMI (April 22). DreamWorks presented Keith with triple platinum certification (three million copies) for his current album, Shock 'n Y'all. He was also honored as the bestselling country artist of 2003 and for having the bestselling country album that year (Unleashed); as Radio & Records' top male airplay artist and Billboard's No. 1 male country artist and No. 1 country singles and tracks songwriter; and for having two No. 1 CMT and GAC music videos -- "I Love This Bar" and "American Soldier."

Keith, BMI's 2001 Country Songwriter of the Year, also collected BMI #1 cups as writer, publisher, artist and producer for his 10th chart-topping hit, "American Soldier," which he co-wrote with Chuck Cannon.

The recently released third single from Shock 'n Y'all is another Keith/Scotty Emerick collaboration, "Whiskey Girl." Their other writing credits as a team include "I Love This Bar" and "I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight."
