BMI was a sponsor of the recent Music 2.0 conference held in Los Angeles. The 2-day "Digital Music Summit" brings together industry leaders to analyze trends and developments affecting the business of digital music, including music's growing portability, digital distribution, piracy, desktop music production, industry consolidation, online marketing, and the rapidly expanding number of services targeting music consumers.

BMI's Richard Conlon, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Media Licensing, moderated the panel entitled "Wireless and Mobile Music: Success Stories for New Revenue Streams." Panelists discussed dealmaking in the mobile space, licensing, artist and songwriter perspectives, digital rights management, new technologies and how to make money in the emerging mobile music market.
