BMI Songwriters Noted With Americana Nominations

BMI songwriters and artists claimed a majority of the nominations for the 2nd Annual Americana Awards show, created by the Americana Music Association to honor merit and achievement within the Americana genre. Artist of the Year nominees include Kathleen Edwards, Alison Krauss and Lucinda Williams, who each received an additional nod in other categories. The awards are set for Friday, September 19 as part of the 4th Annual Americana Music Association Conference at Nashville’s Renaissance Hotel.
