Posted in News on June 4, 2002

The Flatlanders -- Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock -- celebrated the release of Now Again on New West Records with a party and performance at BMI Nashville (5/20). Three weeks after its release to radio (4/23), Now Again hit #1 on the Album Network's Americana Roots chart and is poised for a multi-week reign.

With 12 of the 14 cuts written by the trio, Now Again is the Flatlanders' first album in 30 years, since their 1972 pioneering roots-country release More a Legend Than a Band. The Flatlanders begin an extensive national tour in mid June, which includes an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" (6/17), an Austin City Limits taping and a Dancin' in the District show in Nashville (7/11).
