BMI songwriters will receive a 20% discount on GigAmerica’s annual membership fee when they sign up through BMI’s secure eNet, reducing the cost to $39.95. Membership includes access to “GigSwap,” an online tool for bands to preview each other’s music and calendars in order to trade shows and book tour dates; access to Gig’s database of bands, venues, records labels and other industry resources; tour support; a bi-weekly GigAmerica newsletter; special discounts and promotions on hotels, car rentals, CD duplication, instrument insurance and more; and most importantly, exposure.

“We are excited to be working together with GigAmerica,” said Charlie Feldman, Vice President of Writer/Publisher Relations, BMI New York. “This partnership gives BMI songwriters an opportunity to take advantage of Gig’s unique services.”

“GigAmerica and BMI’s partnership is the perfect match for up-and-coming artists of all styles,” added GigAmerica Founder Scott Egbert. “Not only will we be able to provide tremendous benefits to a large group of quality songwriters but we will be able to reach out to BMI’s community of independent artists and provide specialized attention and support.”

BMI will also feature up-and-coming GigAmerica.com bands in its print and online magazine, MusicWorld, and will co-sponsor showcases, seminars and other songwriter/artist events nationwide. In addition, the GigAmerica home page will feature the "BMI Artist Lounge,” a forum for new songwriters, performing rights information and general music industry news.
