BMI Dominates Billboard/BET On Jazz Awards

BMI jazz artists had a huge night at the recent Billboard/BET On Jazz Awards presented during the first annual Billboard/BET On Jazz Conference in Washington, DC. Multiple winners included Kenny G, who took home six awards, and Diana Krall (SOCAN) and Keith Jarrett, who each won three awards.

The ceremony, co-hosted by BMI jazz sensation Herbie Hancock and BMI singer/pianist Carol Welsman (SOCAN), ended a two-day conference that included an expo, panels and discussions, and live showcases. The awards presentation will air on the BET and BET On Jazz networks on July 29, reaching over 62 million homes.
