BMI Contemporary Songwriting Workshop: New York
Starting September 29th, the BMI Contemporary Songwriting Workshop will meet on Thursdays for eight consecutive weeks starting September 29th, excluding October 6th and November 24th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The eight-week workshop is taught by renowned BMI songwriter Billy Seidman and is designed to help writers hone their skills by focusing on lyric writing, music theory and arranging/production techniques in contemporary songwriting. The class will feature constructive feedback, stimulating assignments and literature developed especially for the BMI Songwriting Workshop
All classes will be held at BMI’s New York office (7 World Trade Center/250 Greenwich Street, 30th Floor). Class size is limited and acceptance into the workshop is at the sole discretion of the instructor and BMI representatives. There is no fee to apply to the workshop. However, once accepted, there will be a $25 fee for the selected applicants. Participants will be notified by e-mail of their acceptance into the workshop.
