May 13, 2010 The BMI Foundation named Peter Bateman one of three recipients of the 21st annual Pete Carpenter Fellowship in February, and as part of the prize, Bateman will work with esteemed BMI composer Mike Post. Dubbed Mixing for Composers, the program is a hands-on instructional series in film music mixing, designed specifically for composers. Apr 26, 2010 BMI composer Charles Sydnor recently completed the composition and recording of an orchestral tone poem entitled “Aeschylus.” Sydnor recorded the piece with a 51-piece orchestra at East West Studios, the historic site of United Western Studio 1.
