Showmanship Draws Crowds to BMI’s 2009 Lollapalooza Stage

Posted in News on August 13, 2009

The clamor of music enthusiasts was loud and clear at BMI’s Lollapalooza stage, held at Grant Park’s Hutchinson Field in Chicago on August 7-9. Performances on the BMI stage kicked off each day at 11:15 a.m., setting the pace at the annual music festival known for its wide-ranging appeal.

BMI’s eclectic lineup provided a blend of sounds, showmanship and good ole live music.
Presenting acts from stateside and abroad, the stage showcased myriad rock, electro-pop, and singer/songwriter acts including local favorite Joe Pug; storytelling siren Ke$ha; multi-instrumentalists Gringo Star; guitar strumming April Smith; and colorful crooner Esser.

BMI is proud to present and sponsor stages at both of C3 and Capital Sports & Entertainment’s music festivals: Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival (October 2-4). BMI’s partnership with the elite festivals is designed to offer more prime showcasing opportunities to its songwriters, a distinct priority of the organization.
