During this year’s CMA Fest, the three-day Ryman and BMI Block Party (June 6-8) drew hundreds of fans to the PNC Plaza, where they witnessed in-demand talent. The free event showcased 16 artists affiliated with BMI as the company continues its commitment to nurturing and developing songwriters at the earliest stages of their careers. Fans can watch the recap from the Ryman and BMI Block Party here.

The Ryman and BMI Block Party kicked off its third year with a surprise appearance by Russell Dickerson, who received 12 BMI Million-Air certificates for his hits like “Every Little Thing,” “Yours,” and “Love You Like I Used To” as each song has accumulated over one million airplays. Dickerson also treated fans to free food with his “Good Day Café” pop-up shop through the event’s sponsor, Raising Cane’s. Thursday’s lineup featured Josh Melton, Old Hickory, Graham Barham, and The Castellows, as well as an impromptu performance by the singing barber Noah Peters.

Fans crowded the plaza on Friday as Ty Gregory launched into an energetic set, followed by unforgettable performances from The Band Loula, Taylor Austin Dye, Ashley Ryan, and Twinnie. Miko Marks kicked things off for festival attendees on Saturday, noting from the stage that it was her debut performance at the festival and as a BMI songwriter. The three-day event concluded with memorable sets from Hueston, Britnee Kellogg, Struggle Jennings, Meg McRee, and The Georgia Thunderbolts.

Each day, fans were provided unique opportunities through the event’s sponsors, as attendees were treated to free drinks from Splash Refresher™ and Twisted Tea, free food from Raising Cane’s, as well as merchandise and giveaway opportunities by Ford Mid-South Dealers and ONErpm. Every performer also received a custom Shure microphone.
