Nuno Dario was named the BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship recipient on Monday, May 21 at the BMI Los Angeles offices. The announcement was made by Doreen Ringer Ross, Vice President, Film/TV Relations, BMI, and Pascale Cohen-Olivar, Program Director, UCLA Extension.

The BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship is an annual award at UCLA Extension that is presented to a student in the school’s Film Scoring program. Named after Oscar- and Emmy-winning film and television composer Jerry Goldsmith, the scholarship partially underwrites the recipient’s study in UCLA’s Extension’s Film Scoring Program, a continuing education curriculum designed to help composers develop the specialized skills and contacts needed to pursue successful careers in film scoring.
