Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz (La La Land) has again teamed up with director Damien Chezell for the film First Man, which was recently screened at the Griffith Observatory in LA for the benefit of Education Through Music. The new movie, which is about astronaut Neil Armstrong, was a fitting tie-in for ETM-LA, which is promoting the STEAM initiative (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) for disadvantaged youth. Sponsored by Universal Pictures, the screening was followed by an informative Q&A featuring Hurwitz, Chazelle, actress Olivia Hamilton and Executive Director of Education Through Music Victoria Lanier.
