BMI recently (08/12/15) participated in a panel at the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters 67th Annual Conference entitled “Copyright Issues – People In The Know” that featured BMI songwriter and recording artist George Ducas. Also participating in the panel were Bud Walters, President and owner of The Cromwell Group; copyright attorney Kevin Goldberg, RIAA Senior Executive Vice President Mitch Glazier; and BMI Vice President, Industry Relations, Dan Spears. Moderated by Frank R. Jazzo, who is an attorney with Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, and John F. Garziglia, who is a partner at Womble Carlyle, the purpose of the panel was to provide a snapshot of the current copyright climate and how respective stakeholders could be impacted.
