McGraw, Altman and Osborne ‘Watch The Wind Blow By’ To #1

A breezy day on the BMI roof was the perfect setting for a party celebrating "Watch The Wind Blow By," the first #1 song for BMI writers Dylan Altman and Anders Osborne and the 22nd for Curb Records superstar Tim McGraw.

Also receiving congratulations and commemorative #1 cups were publishers Hope N Cal Music, Slowborne Music and Universal Songs of PolyGram, and co-producers (with McGraw) Byron Gallimore and Darran Smith.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Altman, a graduate of Boston's Berklee College of Music, has opened for Edwin McCain, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ian Moore and Will Hoge. "Watch The Wind Blow By" is his first major cut.

A native of Sweden, singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer Osborne performed in various shows around the world before settling in New Orleans. Among those who have cut Osborne's songs are Keb Mo and Jonny Lang.

"Watch The Wind Blow By" is the third #1 single from McGraw's platinum-plus project, Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors. A 33+ city tour, "Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors OUT LOUD Summer Tour 2004," launches June 11, and his new, yet-to-be-titled album, is set for release on August 31.
