« Back to FAQs I’m logged in to my BMI Online Services account, but I don’t see the BMI songwriter or publisher account I’m looking for. Why?

If you are a songwriter or composer, you will see your account in OLS. If you are logging in on behalf of someone else, and you do not see their account, that means you haven’t been granted access to the account yet. There are two ways to get access:

  1. Ask the BMI account owner to grant you access. The songwriter or publisher can log in and select Third Party Permissions from the main menu to give you the access you need. The first step is to Add New User and the process won’t be completed until Application Permissions are saved.
  2. Request authorization through BMI. If the account owner received an error message or you’re unable to connect with the account owner, you can contact us, and we’ll initiate the authorization process to grant you access. To get started, please complete the online assistance form at ols.bmi.com/assistance or call us at 844-BMI-4255.
