BMI honored Dave Pahanish and Joe West, co-writers of Toby Keith’s #1 hit “American Ride,” on Wednesday, December 2. The song, praised for its witty inclusion of touchy pop-culture issues, is Keith’s 27th trip to the top of the charts, as well as the second chart-topper for both West and Pahanish.
