BMI recently hosted a one-of-a-kind concert at Nashville’s airport, celebrating Southwest Air’s 30 years of service in Nashville. BMI songwriters A Thousand Horses and Maren Morris performed for the crowd of both travel and music industry executives in front of Southwest’s newest airplane, a Boeing 737-700 decorated with the Tennessee state flag. Later week, Southwest made the news with a new direct route between Nashville and Charlotte, NC, while BMI made headlines announcing their South by Southwest showcases in genres such as indie, Latin, country and rock.
