‘Just a Dream’ Marks Eight Trips to the Top for Carrie Underwood

Music Row movers and shakers gathered for lunch co-hosted by BMI on Thursday, December 10 to toast the writers behind Carrie Underwood’s latest no. 1 single, “Just a Dream.” Co-penned by elite songwriting trio Steve McEwan, Hillary Lindsey, and Gordie Sampson, the poignant tune marks the vocal powerhouse’s eighth consecutive trip to the top of the charts. Since her career’s meteoric launch with “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” all of Underwood’s singles have soared to the no. 1 slot
