For the fourth consecutive year, Broadcast Music, Inc. sponsored a golf tournament at Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland, California, benefitting Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (MHOF), the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that donates musical instruments to under-funded music programs across the country. The event brought together BMI executives and members of the tight-knit music community in L.A., including composers, music supervisors and studio executives. Twelve foursomes convened for a 9 a.m. tee off at the scenic golf course and played a round of 18 holes. MHOF Board member and BMI composer Blake Neely joined Ray Yee, BMI Assistant Vice President, Film/TV Relations, in welcoming the golfers. The day-long event concluded at the club’s Agave Grill, where Yee awarded the winning teams and spoke about BMI’s appreciation for participants’ continued support for this great cause.
