BMI and White Bear PR are Program Guides to ‘Rise of the TV Musical’ at WonderCon 2016

BMI’s Director of Film/TV Relations, Anne Cecere, and White Bear PR’s Chandler Poling, partnered again this year at WonderCon to moderate another unique panel discussion for an enthusiastic crowd of badge holders. “Rise of the TV Musical” explored the growing popularity behind musical series, movies and musical live broadcasts on television. The informative panel featured composers Christopher Lennertz (Galavant) and Gabriel Mann (School of Rock); director Jeffrey Hornaday (Teen Beach Movie, High School Musical 4); Vice President of Event Series at Fox, Rachel Rusch (Grease Live!, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Passion); and Vice President of Music & Soundtracks at The Disney Channel, Steven Vincent (High School Musical). Moderated by Cecere and Poling, the panelists took a deep dive into the process of how the Broadway feeling emerges onto TV.
