BMI's Tracie Verlinde and Joe Maggini were on hand to support New Jersey-based sextet The Parlor Mob during their recent visit to Los Angeles. The band, formerly called What About Frank?, stopped by the BMI L.A. offices after showcasing for Capitol Records where their performance astonished executives so much, the band was signed to the label shortly after.

The Parlor Mob is preparing to release its debut album in early 2007. With dynamic live sets and slightly askew guitar-rock, it's no wonder the genre-breaking group from Red Bank, N.J., has earned the adulation of fans and critics alike. With experimental rock songs that add a fresh twist to the classic sounds of the 60s and 70s, the band that formed in early 2004 is set to lead a musical revolution that will capture audiences of all ages.
