LuAnn Davidson is Executive Director, Creative Administration at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) in Nashville.
In this role, Davidson leads the Nashville Creative administration team in supporting the ever-growing community of songwriters and publishers. Her responsibilities include working directly with affiliates on royalty distribution issues and registering their musical works, as well as helping to facilitate events that celebrate Nashville’s creative community, such as the annual BMI Country Awards dinner. Additionally, she helps maintain relationships between BMI and its affiliates, recruits new songwriters and music publishers, and works to forecast how industry trends and developments affect BMI. She reports directly to VP, Creative, Clay Bradley.
Davidson started her professional career at BMI in 1979 as File Clerk under the direction of longtime former President & CEO, Frances Preston. In this role, Davidson helped manage the records of Nashville-based songwriters and publishers. Over the years, she has worked with notable affiliates including Harry Wayne Kacey of K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Tim Nichols, Cindy Walker, Bobby Charles, and songwriting duo the Warren Brothers, among others. She has held various positions within the Creative department, all of which led to her promotion to Executive Director in 2022.
