Key West Songwriter’s Festival 2012

Presented by BMI and benefitting Operation Homefront, the 17th annual Key West Songwriters Fest is five days and nights of more than 30 free shows by 100+ top songwriters, staged at an array of the island’s most popular drinking holes and hot spots, bookended by full-band concerts. Informal adaptations of Nashville’s signature in-the-round acoustic showcases dominate much of the schedule, while an event-capping street concert adds an enticing Mardi Gras fillip to the mix.

Lineup Additions Fuel Anticipation of Key West Songwriters Festival

The Better Angels Music Key West Songwriters Festival has announced red-letter additions to its 2012 lineup, set for May 2-6. The names on the growing bill continue and expand the festival’s tradition of elevating songwriters, from marquee performers to behind-the-scenes hit-makers.

Most of the stacked schedule is free, including more than 30 in-the-round sets from top performing songwriters. Tickets for a handful of intimate theatre shows are on sale now at http://www.keywestsongwritersfestival.com/schedule.php

In the dusky bars and blues clubs he frequents with his two-man band the Scissormen, the mutton-chopped Drozdowski keeps himself, and everyone else in the vicinity,… more
