BMI and the Nashville Blues Society recently presented a special evening at B.B. King’s Blues Club in Nashville to honor legendary BMI songwriter Barrett Strong. Featuring performances by Sarah Buxton (pictured), James “Nick” Nixon and many loved Nashville blues artists, the event served as a benefit for the Motown giant, who composed classics such as “Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” “I Wish It Would Rain,” and many more. with performances by Sarah Buxton, James “Nick” Nixon, and a number of Nashville Blues artists.
