Songwriters Hall of Fame & GRAMMY Museum to Host Chart-Topping Songwriter/Producer Panel

Posted in News on October 3, 2017

As an organization dedicated to celebrating the rich and storied legacy of countless established songwriters, the Songwriters Hall of Fame is also an institution that seeks to shine a light on new talent distinguishing itself in the songwriting continuum and paving the way for future generations. It is with this spirit in mind that the Hall, in association with the Los Angeles-based GRAMMY Museum, is excited about the latest installment in a series of events designed to highlight contemporary hit songwriters.

Designed as an evening of discussion and discovery, 2017 Chart Toppers: Today’s Star-Making Hit Songwriters/Producers will be held in the Clive Davis Theater at the Los Angeles GRAMMY Museum on October 18, 2017, and will boast a panel featuring some of the most successful, decorated and innovative songwriters and producers of the day. Sharing insights, anecdotes and candid accounts of their songwriting successes will be songwriter/producer busbee (Maren Morris, Keith Urban, P!nk, Carrie Underwood), Dave Bassett (Rachel Platten, Elle King, Fitz and the Tantrums, Gavin DeGraw), Warren “Oak” Felder (Demi Lovato, ALessia Cara, Alicia Keys, Rihanna) and Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes, One Direction, Tiesto, James Blunt). Venerable music writer and Executive Music Editor of Variety Shirley Halperin will moderate the discussion.

Doors open at 7:00 pm. Admission is $20. Tickets can be purchased at the GRAMMY Museum box office. All proceeds benefit the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the GRAMMY Museum’s educational program. For more information, visit grammymuseum.org.
