Songwriter Equity Act Gains Support of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC-At Large) (@EleanorNorton) has joined lead Democratic cosponsor Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8) (@RepJeffries) in supporting H.R. 1283, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2015. Reintroduced in March by Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA-9) (@RepDougCollins), the bill continues to gain momentum as it earns the support of members of Congress from across the country. Congresswoman Norton sits on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, where she is the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, as well as the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
