SEA Gains Support of Congressman Jim McDermott
Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA-7) (@RepJimMcDermott) has joined lead Democratic cosponsor Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8) (@RepJeffries) in supporting H.R.1283, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2015. The bill, introduced by Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA-9) (@RepDougCollins), continues to gain support on Capitol Hill, and Congressman McDermott’s cosponsorship is welcome news to BMI affiliates in Washington State and across the country. Congressman McDermott serves on the House Budget, as well as the Ways and Means Committee, and is the Ranking Member of the Health Subcommittee on Ways and Means.
