Pre-BET Awards Reception Celebrates BMI Nominees

BMI partnered with BET.com, The Stereotypes, August Rigo and Alpine Entertainment group to co-host a private pre-BET Awards reception on Friday, June 25 at Philippe Chow to toast BMI’s songwriters, producers and artists nominated for BET trophies.

In addition to The Stereotypes and Rigo, the private affair attracted chart-topping game-changers and industry decision-makers including Drake, Birdman, Brandy and Ray-J, Pleasure P, Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes, Flo-Rida, Rodney Jerkins, Cool & Dre, YG, Salaam Remi, Kevin Cossom, Makeba Riddick, Carlos McKinney, Jay Blaze, HerStory, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, Quincy Brown, Bei Maejor and Chris Tucker; as well as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BET Deborah Lee; Ethiopia Habtemariam, Universal Music Publishing Vice President, Urban; and many more, while DJ Ruckus spun the nominated artists’ hits throughout the evening.
